Our young women have been busy. New Beginnings turned out beautifully! Part of the program that night involved the young women taking about 15 minutes to set some Personal Progress goals with their parents. This has been really successful and quite a few of our girls have passed off value experiences and have value projects in the works now. We were all also excited to learn about the changes in the Personal Progress program.
We had a very good turnout for our first CiCi’s Pizza Family Night and we’re looking forward to the next one in April!
From now until March 28th the young women are selling pies for Easter. The pies are $10 each. There are many kinds to choose from and all of them are available in sugar-free too. We’ll be delivering those on Saturday, April 3rd. The proceeds from the pie sales will help pay for girls camp and other young women activities we’ll have throughout the year. We really appreciate all of the support we get!
The value that we are focusing on this month is Individual Worth. It is so very important for our young women to realize their individual worth. Sister Jewitt gave a wonderful lesson on fast Sunday that focused on this. She really did a great job of helping me as a sister understand how much our Heavenly Father loves me and I hope that the girls understood the message that she was trying to portray as well as I did. I read a great story a while back; a talk by President Faust called We Believe in You. If you have a moment, I encourage you to read it; the message is very clear that we are all choice daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.
My body is now starting to catch up with the clock so I better get this posted and get to sleep.
