The Mia Maid class has been quite busy the last few months doing everything from educational, active and service activities.
Going back a few months ago the YW and YM had a service project where we helped pull weeds all around the church parking lot. Although it was windy and a bit cold we all felt good at the end of it. It was nice seeing how our hard work paid off!
In July the Mia Maids planned a dessert cook-off for the combined activity. This was a very competitive activity with judges and everything. In all the hustle and stressfulness of trying to beat the clock every team came together and showed great teamwork! This was a fun activity that the Mia Maids enjoyed planning. Not to mention that tasting all the desserts was awesome too!
One of the most recent activities our class has done was going to visit everyone in our class. We all had a nice time taking awesome homemade cookies that Marissa made and giving them some handouts that Kimmie had collected over a few weeks. It was great talking to the girls that were home and we look forward to visiting them again and seeing them at church too!
The latest activity that the Mia Maid class has done was making recipe books. Sister Mallory brought a ton of cool scrapbooking things and each girl got to make a cute cover for her book. We also brought a few dishes that we got to eat as we made our books. Marissa brought a fantastic pasta and Sister DeVoge brought this wonderful fruit dip. After making our covers Sister Mallory surprised us all as she gave us about 100 amazing recipes to start our books off with. Everyone was so excited for our new books and I think all the parents were too! We are all going to be Emeril's now! Our cooking is just going to be like BAM!!! All us girls look forward to taking these books to college and etc. This was a wonderful activity.
Thank you Sister Mallory and Sister DeVoge for everything you do for our little Mia Maid class!

August Giveaway!
I know, I know! I said I would post the winner of the blog giveaway on
September 1st! A winner was chosen on the first but I haven't had a chance to update the blog.... this has been a hectic week; the first week back to school for my kids which includes volleyball, homework, fundraisers, and just trying to get back into a regular routine. On top of that add the "pleasure" of trying to pack up and move an entire office and set up a whole new office without disrupting the day-to-day business flow with my clients. My days have been long and my spare time has been short! I'll be glad when the 10th is here so that hopefully things will settle down a little!
Now, on to the moment you've all been waiting for!
The winner of the August Giveaway is Sabrina Justice!
Yeah Sabrina! Thank you for your comments (Nell, you too!) :)
Sabrina has also given me a blog entry for the MiaMaid class which I will be posting later today.
Sabrina, look for your prize to be delivered soon!
